The "Missouri Waltz" is a twangy 1940's/1950's country inspired arrangement of the classic lullaby. The song has been covered by country greats like Jonny Cash and Eddy Arnold. While usually a vocal piece I have tried to think about how to capture the essence of the vocal line with a twangy guitar sound. This isn't a difficult piece but stylistically it is pretty specific. While you could play the melody with a soothing legato style, here we focus on dynamics and staccato elements. I'm picking very close to the bridge to achieve a greater twang, as well as using the bridge pickup.
