The "Tremolo Country Solo" lesson is an ode to Cowboy country of the 1960's. This lesson builds off of the previous lesson "Faux Country Lap Steel II." It utilizes the same backing track and together these lessons can add some "Western" flair to your repertoire. The basic concept of this piece is fairly simple. The melodic section is based on the Am scale. The solo section is chicken picking style and uses the Am pentatonic scale. Overall, style is key. The tone is twangy with emphasis on the modulation effect. I'm using a cranked Fender Amp tone with a good bit of spring reverb and a tremolo effect.
