Jazz Comping (Jazz/Blues)

Hi GMC'ers! In this lesson we will explore the world of the Jazz Comping. I'm gonna start with the blues, the jazz-blues. You may notice that in this lesson I use three note chords. To give a good traditional comping that's all we need. So the voicings always miss one note of the four note chord. In the charts you'll see them very clear.
I'll explain the charts:

* Fundamental position: root, minor seventh, major third
* 1st inversion: major third, root, fifth
* 2nd inversion: fifth, major third, minor seventh
* 3rd inversion: minor seventh, fifth, root

The most used of those positions are the fundamental and the 2nd inversion, because it reinforces the root. But in this lesson to explore all those positions I've used them all. Those voicings are used by all the great traditional guitar players because gives a really nice conduction of the parts.

This blues is a typical 12 bar jazz blues in Bb, a common key:

In the last two measures we have the turnaround that the second time it's played I change it to a different formula to give a little closure.
