  • Hi GMC´ers! Well, Lian´s here once again, and as the previous lesson we´re still working on Hammerfall Style, this time with a Solo inspired by some songs I´ve heard some years ago when I was so young :P

So I must confess I´ve really enjoyed composing and recording this solo. I think this could be a classic power metal solo becouse we have this happy-funny atmosphere and a lot of speedy licks. So I hope you like this lesson and have fun!

Thanks to the members who requested this lesson.

In this one, we´ll combine: alternate picking, fast picking, octaves, palm muting, bends, vibratos, melodic passages and slides. Take this lesson step by step and ask for whatever you need.

Chords: are included in every video.
Used scales: A harmonic minor, D harmonic minor, C Major, Mostly.
    Bar: 4/4
    Notes: Sixteenth, Sixteenth Triplet, 32nd.
    Tune Down: 1/2 step
    TEMPO: 135 bpm

As some of you know, I use a POD xt to rec all my lessons. In my board you´ll find my presets ;)
On the other hand, here´re the settings for people who want them.

Amp model: based on Soldano Slo-100
    Drive 9
    Bass 4.9
    Middle 5
    Treble 6.8
    Presence 7

    Small room Reverb:
    Predelay 0%
    Decay 42 %
    Tone 50%
    Mix 43%

Remember: Same settings in other gear will produce a different sound, but, as we´ve talked at the forum, this could be cool for some members, so enjoy!

If you have any problems let me know. Take care.
    See you around.

    Lian Gerbino
