  • Hi GMC´ers! Finally we have a lesson in the style of this cool band called Hammerfall. I´ve prepared 2 lessons to cover their main aspects, some of their trademarks, their power and epic chorus as well as some of their riffs and so on.

In this first one, we´ll see how to play these fantastic guitar lines in a easy way. Nothing too complex, so I think this lesson should be played by a beginner without problems, even so, if you find something a little tricky for you, don´t give up, share your problems at the forum and we´ll resolve it. ;)

I´ve created this lesson influenced by Hammerfall´s first and second album.

Thanks to the GMC:ers who requested this lesson :D

This lesson has: Alternate Picking, Power chords, Palm Muting, Legatto, Diadas (2 notes played together), that´s all. So, take this lesson step by step, and have fun.

Chords: are included in every video.
Used scales: A minor, C Major, Mostly.
    Bar: 4/4
    Notes: Sixteenth mostly
    Tune Down: 1/2 step
    TEMPO: 135 bpm

As some of you know, I use a POD xt to rec all my lessons. In my board you´ll find my presets ;)
On the other hand, here´re the settings for people who wants.

Amp model: based on Marshall JCM-800
    Drive 6
    Bass 4.9
    Middle 5
    Treble 6.8
    Presence 7

    Small room Reverb:
    Predelay 0%
    Decay 42 %
    Tone 50%
    Mix 25%

Remember: Same settings in other gear will produce a different sound, but, as we´ve talked at the forum, this could be cool for some members, so enjoy!

If you have any problems let me know. Take care.
I hope you like this lesson
    see you around.
