  • Hi GMC-ers!

It's the time for some serious killer rocking, this time we'll learn the famous Pantera solo from the song named "Walk"!

"Walk" can be found on Pantera's sixth studio album entitled "Vulgar Display of Power", releaced in 1992. This is one of the most influential albums in Heavy Metal of all times. "Walk"'s 12/8 time signature creates a distinctive "walking" rhythm and it contains one of guitarist Dimebag's most famous riffs and solos.

The technical aspect of the solo is not that hard to master. The phrasing and the vibrato is what gives this solo an unique vibe. The solo also contains what Dimebag called a "Fake Echo Technique.

    Techniques used in this lesson:

    -Bluesy Phrasing
    -Vibratos
    -Bending
    -Hammer-ons
    -Pull-offs
    -The Fake Echo Technique

    This lesson is in D tuning: D, G, C, F, A, D.

    Have Fun!
    -Zsolt
