  • Hello GMC!

Andy Timmons is our focus this time, as I decided to dedicate this lesson to him. Andy Timmons is an awesome Texas born guitarist which is responsible for a good number of awesome music pieces built on phrasing, great technique and great articulation skills. I was inspired by his song called 'Bust a soda' which is a boogie/ rock song, which has a high tempo and dynamic phrasing which I hope you guys will enjoy!

    Benefits:

    - legato
    - articulation
    - phrasing in the style of Andy Timmons

    Tuning: Standard E A D G B E

    Meter: 4/4

    Scales: A Mixolydian/ A bluegrass - which actually is the blues scale having this formula: 1 b3 3 4 6 b7

    Tone settings:

    Solo - Bass – 10 o’clock, Mids – 9 o’clock, Highs – 1 o’clock, Gain – 1 o’clock, using the lead channel of my AMT ss20 Pre-amp, software added delay and keeping my PRS Paul Allender's pick-up switch in the bridge position.
