LESSON #399 - Solo Work

Lesson Series by Todd Simpson

FINGER YOGA! (Always Warmup BEFORE Playing)

PUTTING IT TO GOOD USE

Let's put some of our recent work to good use and play some licks over a backing track. Today's work is based on a collaboration I'm working on with Brazilian Guitarist Marcos De Ros. If you are not from Brazil, you may not know of him. If you are from Brazil, you probably do user posted image

Here is the track with both of us going back and forth

Let's isolate a small chunk of the backing in D MAJOR, (yes, D Major, it's a first for me I know)

Here is a loopable chunk of the backing

I created a spiff 11 Rack Lead Patch just for this which you can download here
(Requires Avid 11 Rack)

Here is a demo of just the patch with the PHASER turned on:

FIRST UP!!!!

Let's Start with something simple. How about a "Tripeggio" pull off combined with a scale inversion.
