Lesson Series by Todd Simpson

FINGER YOGA!
Let’s do our usual Finger Yoga stretches. Here is a link to the video for references.

WARMING UP TO THE CRAZY TRAIN

Before jumping the rails, let's start slow. In this shape, use your first finger and pinky. Then we will make it harder by moving our pinky out (wider stretch) one fret at a time repeating the entire pattern.

Let's transition to a lead lick built around a blues scale and give our stretch a break. This will focus more on tight precision and and our "back and forth" technique.

Lastly, let's do another blues/pentatonic lick, but this time lower on the neck and using open strings. This is a VERY simple pattern and it's mostly about the picking. Focus on your right hand and PICK EACH NOTE and palm mute.
