First impression

I've been always a Strat fan , so when I first saw this beauty I fall in love. Perfect shape, perfect weight , awesome color, classic bridge, so it was the strat I was looking for.

Tone & Pick Ups

The tone is just amazing. This is the first time that I play the Texas Specials pick ups and they are just amazing. Best tone in my opinion is a crunch sound , no to much drive but not completely clean. The volume control can give you a big range of sounds. One of my worries is to get a good clean sound and with this guitar you can achieve what ever you want, the unique bridge strat pick up sound to a tone with personality in the neck pick up. This pick ups have more midle tone in my opinion than the regular stratocaster pick ups.

Playability

I was having a problem with my Ibanez and it was that the frets were to small , for my hands. This strat has jumbo medium frets and are perfect for my hands. The volume control and the pickup switch are very easy to use. I have to say I must learn to use this tremolo, this is a total different story, for my taste it is a litle to hard.

Reliability

Perfect weight , and solid body , not as heavy as a Les Paul but you feel like you're holding a real guitar in your hands.

Summary

The only kind of music that I don't play is very heavy stuff , so I think this is the perfect guitar for Jazz, blues, rock even neoclasical. I had a strat a couple of years ago , and I sold it I don't know why, so I've been waiting for this moment for a really long time. Maybe it isn't the perfect guitar , but Im looking it with my heart, so it is pure love. The texas special pick ups are a really improvement on this guitar , I don't think I would bought it if it didn't had the sound it has. So it is a Standard Mexican Strat with very good pickups , that really makes me happy.

So that's it , this is my first review so don't be to hard with me.

I will try to upload a couple of samples so you can judge the sound of it, I have to change the strings first.

Enjoy.
