Hello GMC!
-In this lesson we are going to explore some funky slap techniques. This time we are going to expand on our previous lesson and make it more advanced. Hammer-ons will be our main focus here also, but this time we are going to play some triplets incorporating plucks.
-You are going to jam a funky slap groove utilizing mostly hammer-ons and plucking in order to play triplets. You will also incorporate other techniques like thumping and left hand slapping in this one. This lesson will be very engaging for both hands and will help you build up stamina!
-This lesson is in the key of Em.I used E minor pentatonic scale for constructing this groove.
-Key: Em
-Tempo: 120 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: intermediate
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added treble and middle on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun slapping in this one!
