  • Hi there folks!

    Welcome to my second metalcore lesson!

    This time we will combine some famous metalcore rhythm patterns, tricky harmonics licks and soloing. All is based on some very popular, metalcore concepts. Every note belongs to the C# minor scale but being honest... You will rather think of E-minor while only the guitar is tuned to C#. This is the reason for further scale and chords names reference to standard E tuning.

    Gear used (in order of connection chain placement):

    1. Bloody Mary custom guitar with EMG 81,H,85 pickups, Ernie Ball 12-54 strings
    2. Behringer MIC100 tube preamp (-20db switch on, gain and out knobs about 50%)
    3. Presonus Inspire 1394 firewire audio interface (input gain 25%)
    4. TSE TS808 vst plug-in - booster (Drive 0, Tone 100%, Volume 60%)
    5. Poulin LeCto v1 vst plug-in - amp sim (All knobs 50%, red channel, modern mode)
    6. Kefir impulse loader + God's cab impulse SM57\NO-TS\57_1_inch_edge_pres_1.wav ((mix 100%, gain 30%, length 0 %)
    7. Q-filter vst plug-in
    (Low 139Hz Cut mode :: Mid1 5808 Hz -3dB width 0,50 oct :: Mid2 3778 Hz -5,5 dB 0,21 oct :: High 6630 Hz -4db)
    8. DAW EQ (1999 Hz -6dB Q=0,2)

    Tuning: E6-E1 = C#-F#-B-E-G#-C#

    Backing track progression:

    4/4 E-minor | % | % | C-major | % | A-minor | % | E-minor | % |
