You’d be hard-pressed to find a smoother sounding technique than hybrid picking.
When I started out, I began using my right hand fingers more or less by accident - and I did it because it was a quick way for me to recycle my blues licks. I figured that instead of investing lots of time learning a new lick, I might as well change the sound of the licks I already mastered.
I started playing simple blues licks with my right hand fingers, and thereby practicing hybrid picking without realising it.
So in this lesson, I will show exactly how I took my first wobbly steps towards hybrid picking. We will go from
practicing hybrid picking to
playing hybrid picking.
