The "Hybrid Picking Country Licks" lesson emphasizes right hand technique. Now you can see what is happening close-up. While you can play some variation on all 8 of the licks/phrases without using hybrid picking, this technique is crucial to chicken picking. My tone for this lesson is a standard country sound using the Tele bridge pickup, a compressor, slapback delay, overdriven amp, and spring reverb. Each lick is performed in the key of A for this lesson but can easily be moved up/down the neck to transpose it to other keys. Enjoy!
