Hey GMC!
It is time to learn some blues lead guitar! We've looked at the major, minor, and minor pentatonic scales in the past, but now it is time to check out the blues scale!
Tonality:
We'll be using the key of A minor blues
Chord progression:
A, A, Asus4, A
D, D, Dsus4, D
A, A, B, B
E, E, Esus4, E
A, A, Asus4, A
D, D, Dsus4, D
A, A, E, E,
A, A, E, E, A
Equipment and Sound: I used a Telecaster with single coil pickups on the middle pickup setting, ran it into a Line 6 UX2 Studio and POD Farm. Used an emulated Dr Z amp and an emulated Tubescreamer. I used a rotary speaker simulator in POD Farm on a very low setting to add some texture to the sound. Then added compression, delay and reverb and recorded into Garageband. I also added a little more compression and reverb in Garageband.
Tuning:
A 440 Standard

I highly recommend learning the minor pentatonic scale before taking on the blues scale.
