Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This looks better. Try using your thumb a bit less, actually.. I can still see it pulling/pushing slightly. If you've got a good grip on your pick then you can forget about your thumb area.. now try and focus on moving exclusively from the wrist joint.

Don't forget your left hand either. I know that you're using this to gain a batter understanding of picking motion but for the sake of the REC and your own playing, do your best to make your co ordination good and keep playing the correct notes.

We can't actually grade any REC's that are not 100% original lesson speed but we'll comment as normal.

Btw, I hope you don't get frustrated too much with doing the REC again and again.. alternate picking takes a long time to work out for every body smile.gif

Hi mate, you are getting closer but there is still room to improve your right hand movement. Let's use a metaphor that I like to explain how the movement must feel. Imagine that you have water in your hand/fingers and you shake it from your wrist to take it off... that's exactly the motion that you should do.

In this video I show you the metaphor in a very exaggerated way to illustrate it. Then, you off course have to make the motion smaller and precise.

I recommend you to check Ben's righ hand movement on this lesson, and maybe to learn the lesson which is easy and will let you concentrate on your right hand.

There is a progress visible in Your playing. You're not wasting the time for sure but...we still work with the same issues. There is not much to explain by far. You know what needed correction and You already removed at least 50% of the mentioned problems. Basicly we're talking about muting, picking hand fingers movements and wrong notes at some places. At this speed there is no need of using circle picking for sure smile.gif Try to move whole wrist. Make the movement wider smile.gif
