The rain was pouring outside today and all roads were flodded so my dad had to come to school to pick me up since buses were cancelled due to flooding. I turn on the radio and i hear some pop/ rap song with Santana with it (it wasnt the Nickelback one, it had a rapper). I liked the phrasing so my goal today was to practice a good some santana licks. I scanned UG and only found some songs, so i came back to GMC to request a Santana lesson and guess what? I found it on the main page. I really like the way you divided or paused between licks instead of just putting things to flow at once.
If i can save $100 (doubt it) i can see Santana next month.

Hey guys! This lesson is a Latin rock style lesson. This music is a combination of rock and blues with Latino American rhythms.
One of the most important Latin rock musicians is Carlos Santana. This Mexican musician and guitarist started in the 60’s doing a combination of blues guitar with Latin percussion. He recorded many great albums during the 60’s and the 70s that influenced lots of Latino American musicians and he is still doing music.
In this lesson I recorded a percussive backing track and recorded an improvisation using some blues and rock licks used in this type of music.
I used D minor scale and the tempo is 120 bpm. You can find the backing track chords on screen.
