pbr should be Pre Bend and Release
g - in this case is like a pre slide, so a really quick slide up to the note.
what does pbr and g in tabs mean??
Just perfect for working feeling and the tone !
Awesome composition for a beginner lesson
Awesome lesson, i can play some metal lvl 7 stuff but this kind of stuff i have to struggle a lot with. But i guess i really need it then, thanks!
Great, Muris. I love this one and learned it quite fast. So melodic, thanks, man.
nice i realy love it
Just finished learning this one. Still need to be smoother on triplets. Thanks!
Sweet sound! looks simple but Superb doable notes.Thankx Muris
blues
Great lesson with many techniques to work on and very musical!
That's great to hear, keep playing and welcome to GMC!
Muris,
I am new to the site, and I think this a fabulous solo; I will not rest until I have learned each section.
PS: I also enjoy your other lessons so far.
Glad you joined, welcome to GMC and use my forum board if you have any question
or need some help.
Hey Muris ! Well, this solo convinced me to sign-up for this guitar school. Easy playing but very cool sound and by the way you learn how to use several techniques. Repect, hope I will find more like this one.
Greetings from Germany
Cheers Alex!!
Nothing less than a masterpiece. Great feel, awesome melody, very helpful notes for every technique used... Awesome =D
Thanks.
Great lesson. Wonderful and soulful tone as always.
Awesome, glad it opened your views somehow, cheers.
Hi Muris,
This beginner solo in D is an amazing little piece of work. So many styles wrapped into one short arrangement. I've got a few of the variations down in one day, the rest I'm really practicing hard to get my speed up. Thanks for the tasty challenge.
t-man
Great to hear you're having fun with it Zion,
I'll try to make more lessons of this kind in near future.
excellent lesson, and a great "beginner" solo..
and i love the fact that you not only put in the chord progression, but also what technique you are using.. it's gives you a feeling of accomplishment, when you are able to say.. "hey, i just did 16 notes triplets" or "i can TAP"..
keep up the awesome work..
Hi there and thanks, glad you like the lesson.
I would say it is experience, yeah.
After many hours)years of playing you'll find yourself
able to create cool sounding lick in few secs,
no matter which scale or scales you're using.
It's not overnight thing tho so keep working and look for the result.
Great lesson! Question: how do you decide the notes selections combining with the styles (vibrato, bend,slides...) in 1 or more scales to make it sound so good? I mean I can make up my own lick say in D major pentatonic, but it doesn't sound as good. Is it experience or there are some rules?
Thanks & Regards.
You're most welcome,glad you've joined GMC!
This is AWESOME!.. My first solo I learned and this helped me figure out alot of things about soloing.. thank you so much!
Hey Muris!!!.Nice feeling in the fingers..Great lesson i want more!
Hi F Minor,that's a cool chord btw.
I'm using Korg Pandora PX4D for all my lessons,
you can find some general settings HERE.
Cheers.
Hey Muris,
I'm a beginner, and having lots of fun with your solo lesson. Just one question... I am all about the sound. Now, I know that many factors influence the exact sound and it's sometimes hard if not impossible to replicate the exact sound of a piece, but would you care to divulge what gear / effects you are using for the particular sound of this solo. Sounds like there is some verb on, what level? Etc. I think in general it would be cool if instructors could tell us what they're using to produce their sound.
Thanks! :-)
Yeah, tapping might be quite pain in the a** if you're new to the technique.
Just don't give up,practice hard and tapping will come so naturally, trust me!
However if need any help at all,
please ask in my instructor sub board,
I'll do my best to answer as soon as possible.
Wow, awesome lesson! I really like the fact that you combine all these different techniques + its a kickass solo =D. Its really encouraging.
but damn tapping, I really feel that I'm destorying the finger on my right hand when I hammer it onto the fretboard =(
Probably,try it
Gee... I noticed only now that you mute
your D string with your thumb at the end.
Maybe now my A string will STOP ringing!
Triplets are awesome,I know you'll get used to it Eddie
Damn those 16th triplets!!!!!
Arrggghhhh....
Try it and let me know how is it working,
you're welcome!
this is so beautiful. it will be quite challenge for me to do tapping.
thank you Muris
Glad to hear that,bravo!!
Wow, I learn most of your lessons..you know the harder ones? All the other ones do make this one seem easy but I love it anyway. Learned it real quick and it sounds great. Finally I can actually Tap something and have it sound good. Thanks!
Great,looking forward to it!
Yeah sounds good to me. I'll record this lesson once I've learned all the parts see what you think.
Cheers
Good to hear.
Perhaps Mixolydian Beginner lesson,Bb Minor Beginner?
Ah this is more my level I'll get this one done first and take it from there.
Which lesson would you reccommend after this Muris?
Nice,hope vibrato now sounds ok
thanks for the lesson... it helped tie several of my techniques together (I practiced the solo until I could nail your vibrato lol)Thanks
Glad to hear,go for it!!
this is really great! perfect for me who is a beginner.
REALLY GOOD!!!
Thanks
About downloading backing,it's prohibited atm,
search around forum a bit, you'll find many topics related to that matter.
Great tune Muris. I really enjoy your lessons. Is there anyway I can download this backing to my comp?
Thanks Ben,it's a pleasure to hear that from fellow instructor!!
Just came from gig tho,5am here,so Happy New Year!!!!!!!
thats one of a beautifull solo!!
you have a great touch! its so fun to watch you play!
Good one,at 1bpm
Keep me updated and feel free to post clip of you playing this
in my instructor sub-board
yay, I can tap! although, only at about 1bpm!?
Nice Muris. I've got it at 50bpm and working on the speed. This lesson is really helping me with my timing. Thank's again
Steve
Awesome.
That's great to hear, please feel free to ask if you need any help!
Excellent beginner lesson! Most of your other lessons are awesome to "watch" as you are an excellent player and teacher; but this one will help me continue my journey building my chops. Thanks!!
Nice job, man.
Glad you like it guys, thanks
I agree on comment about level tho,I guess that "pure" beginner
woudn't include all these techniques but just easy chords or som...
Still,I wanted it simple but mixed a bit...and there you go
I find these lessons great from a rythem guitar player trying to get soloing down...This gives you a driveing lesson....to show me where the breaks are and gas pedel......instead of here are the keys . there is the free way just go 60 and you will be fine lol...
Incredible lesson Muris!! Beautifull solo!
best lesson on GMC right here...
WOW!!!
Great lesson Muris!
Nice melody Muris
Yeah! I love your lessons Muris!
Happy New Year!

Great lesson Muris !!
you are the best Muris !!!! I really love you ... r playing
Beautiful melody Muris,
Well done!
Muris, these lessons are exactly what I need. A sound that makes me want to practice, at a tempo that I can handle, and a bunch of great techniques that I can play and develop over time. This prepares me to learn your other lessons down the road (a year or 2 from now). Please keep these comming.
great muris, that last part is very cool, you needed to make that longer man ! great work, as always
thanks Muris...
your the man!!
nice
Good lesson, and I also argree that we need more lessons like this
I agree Iluha - it is more beginner intermediate but I also think it's good for a beginner *solo*. Through and through beginners should start on rhythm probably, but there is a lot of stuff they can do in this one. Love it muris
Cool Muris!
It helped me
And I agree with Dejan- We DO need more such lessons here.
Peace .
Nice one
I believe we need more such lessons here at GMC
Well I wouldn't consider it a bigginer lesson, more like beginner-intermidiate, but still it's awesome like always
that's a great beginner lesson, i love it and it's already on my list:) i really like the use of Dm in the last lick,HEAVENLY!!!
great job muris and thx
Wow! you got EVERYTHING in there! im totally gonna learn this one
Excellent solo, love how you
fit all the techniques in there!!
Hehehehe... This really puts a smile on my face!
THANK YOU!!! I hope this one will take off a little
of the frustration your Bmajor lesson put on me.
As usual, amazing Muris!
This is awesome Muris Just love rock ballads
