With the rise of the Interwebs, a new force has emerged. It operates under disguise - only the trained eye can spot it.
What am I talking about? Hybrid Picking of course!
This technique is not easy to spot but you can be sure a majority of all modern fusion solos today use it. Technically it's nothing new, but there is no denying we've seen an increase in popularity recently.
So today's big question is: should YOU learn it? What are the benefits of using both the pick and right hand fingers?
We'll discuss:
* Tone (pop/snap, dynamics, warmth)
* muting
* "Impossible" licks / techniques
* Precision / consistency
* String skipping
* Speed
Hop in - we've got some important topics to cover!
