Hi there, Lian's here with a new lesson in the bag!
As the previous lesson from this series called Riff Master, we will focus on metal riffs from some Metal sub-genres. In this case, we will pay attention on Melodic Death Metal. This sounds a little bit close to Dark Tranquility. In Flames and bands like that are involved too. So, Melodic Death Metal is basically an extreme metal combined to melodic lines and groovy riffs.
This lesson is at 200 bpm., it could sounds "fast" but since we are playing eight notes mostly, it's not that difficult. But, there's a tricky part in the main riff: the combination between palm muting over the low E and the not muted notes while upstroking could be quite hard for many members. So, take it step by step and have fun while learning :)
I hope you like this lesson!
