Let's look at the most used chord progressions in popular music.
By utilising the tools provided in this course, you could start with a popular chord progression and then fine tune it by adding melodies, harmonization, secondary dominants etc - and you will end up with a strong sounding tune - which is your own composition!
Progression 1: The most used chord progression.
Progression 2: Sensitive Female Chord Progression.
Progression 3: The basic building blocks in Western Music.
Progression 4: 50s Progression
Progression 5: Jazz Progression
All progressions are showed in musical context in the key of C major. I strongly recommend you to transpose them to different keys and music styles. Also, try to identify these progressions while listening to music.
