Howdy there GMC'ers!
In this third part of the Metal Metrics series, we shall continue the analysis of the song called ‘The Seed’, which we started discussing about in our previous session.
You may have observed that the previous riffs were palm muted and sprinkled with subdivisions while the ones which shall appear in this part of the song are loose and with a feeling of greatness.
I also added recorded bass tracks so that you may have a better grasp on the notes when playing along and a natural feeling as well ?
Here are the goals I want you to reach when I chose to include the second part of this song:
- Development of a strong rhythmic sense
- Transforming the elements encountered in the previous lesson (Metal Metrics 2) into simpler forms respecting the metric division of the bars.
- Tempo consistency
- Right hand palm muting and open string control.
Tuning: Drop A (A E A D F# B)
Meter: 4/4
Scales used: A phrygian dominant (1 - b2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - b6 - b7)
