Btw, I guess it's not possible to include the bassist? It's already mixed in your song? It's okay. Once I'm ready to do a take, I plan splicing together the intro guitars with the backing track, and then I can add bass guitar. That intro is so cool!
The trouble was that the recorded bass was too low to sound good at low tempos, so I chose to let it out this time. I can't wait to hear your take! hehehehe. The site will be up soon and you can hear the vocals as well

Hello GMC'ers!
This is yet another addition to the Metal Metrics series in which I included a drop A song called 'The Seed', written with one of my bands - Aria! This song is mean and aggressive, so I'm expecting you to put a lot of attitude in it when playing it!
What you will hear in the backing tracks, are the actual recorded drum takes, which I edited a little in order to give them to you - I considered it an interesting experience as they have the real feel! Enjoy playing with my drummer!
Since a lot of you guys requested low tuned riff oriented lessons, this one will help you improve on the following:
- Strong rhythm sense
- Interesting elements used in 4/4 meter subdivision context
- Right hand palm muting and control technique
Tuning: Drop A (A E A D F# B)
Meter: 4/4
Scales used: A phrygian dominant (1 - b2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - b6 - b7)
For a listening session, I strongly recommend Meshuggah and Sevendust as these two bands influenced us a lot in writing this piece.
