Welcome to the "Chord Inversions" lesson. This lesson adds the the triad and diatonic chords lessons. This is the sixth lesson in a new series introducing music theory and here we look at how to build chords in the first and second inversion.
Tone-wise I am using the middle position pickup selection (neck and bridge) on my Tele. I am using a simulated Fender-style amp with a little spring to get a basic gritty tone.
Concepts covered:
What are inverted chords?
Building first inversion chords
Diatonic chords in first inversion
Building second inversion chords
Diatonic chords in second inversion
Play-alongs to practice first and second inversion diatonic chords
Gear: Tele(neck pickup)>Tascam 4X4HR>Pro Tools>AmpliTube 5(American Amp 1)
In this lesson part I discuss the basic of chord inversions and give some examples.
Enjoy!
