That's true Jerry! I saw him live twice with Angra and he is an awesome power/speed metal player but otherwise his last solo album is an amazing Jazz/Fusion album. His video clinic has great licks too.

Hello GMC! Today I recorded a metal solo lesson with some influences of John Petrucci, Steve Vai and Kiko Loureiro (Angra). The solo starts in F# Phrygian mode and then it modulates to B minor scale. The first part sound like some Liquid Tension’s solos and also like some of Mr. Vai’s stuff and the second part is in the style of Angra.
We will use some techniques as Alternate picking, Vibrato, Slides and Palm muting in this lesson.
You can find the backing track's chords (Red) and what is happening in the backing (White) on screen.
