  • Hello GMCers! In this lesson we'll study use of pick and fingers together when playing some riffs. A lot of players out there use this technique, specially on high gain settings in order to avoid attacking sound of the pick and get more smoothly tone from fingertips. However you can consider this technique as hybrid picking as well cause it is hybrid picking in certain way.

We will use left hand thumb here also to fret few notes. So, it's in key of Dm,we'll be playing power chords mostly but some regular chords as well, all taken from these scales, D Natural Minor, D Phrygian and D Harmonic Minor.

Tempo is 120 bpm, 4/4 bar.
