Thanks for fixing it. I'll try that initial riff tonight, it sounded mighty cool. Will have to start at a third of the BPM though.

- Lian Gerbino1st March 2009I was just browsing through some "In the style of" lessons and saw this one. However, I'm not entirely sure whether there's an error in the tab for video 2 or if my eyes are bad...
Looking at the lesson text one is supposed to play E5:s and followed by an extra vibrato note. However, when I look at the video I can't see any E5:s being played, to me it seems that only the E string is played when the chords are played, the A string doesn't seem to be touched, at least not on the second fret.
Do my eyes deceive me here or is there some error somewhere?
Anyway, great lesson as Arch Enemy is one of my favorite bands. I so badly want to see them live some day!

Hello, once again you find me playing Metal :p. In this case, a few licks from Melodic Death Metal style. Bands in this style are, Arch enemy, Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquility and many many others. Here we play a main riff and thus a simple melody in E minor scale with some extra notes.
When we play a death metal riff, the point is it sounds violent and so heavy, so up your control gain and enjoy it! :p
A few song in Melodic Death Metal Style that can help you:

Dark Tranquility - Damage Done - White Noise Black Silence
