Hello GMC!
-In today's lesson we are going to play a Reggae style bass line. You will learn how to improvise a bass line in this style by using only arpeggios as your tone choice. Reggae style is very rhythmic, you will encounter many different note values mixed together in this lesson.
-Backing track is a groovy Reggae style one.You are going to practice your sense of rhythm in this lesson and learn how to apply arpeggios knowledge to improvise a line to a chord progression.
-This lesson is in the key of A major. All notes will belong to A major scale.
-Key: A major
-Tempo: 80 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner/intermediate
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
