Hi Guys,
Welcome to my lesson No. 40
This lesson is about "Smooth Jazz" and focus on groovy and laid back playing with some bluesy elements.
Guitar players like Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Pat Metheny, George Benson and many more are famous for this kind of music.
My song has 4 parts with three different guitar styles.
In the Intro & Outro I played a single note guitars with minimalistic phrases. The muted techniques I discussed in detail im my previous "Nile Rodgers" lesson.
The VERS has the same chords underneath with some jazzy "George Benson"-Licks.
The BRIDGE is played with some overdrive over interesting chord changes that creates cool modulations.
THE CHORUS has the same chords like INTRO/OUTRO and focus on legato lines that could be played from a sax players as well.
Keep groovin! ;-)
Cheers Guido
