  • Hello Gmc!

Welcome to my new lesson! This lesson is in the style of Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones.
For this lesson I used open tuning and slide, so you will be learning both.

I chose bronze slide because it sounds brighter and has less sustain so I can get a full control over it, but you can use any slide you like!
I had a lot of fun working on this lesson and tweaking the sound to match Keith's, luckily I have a telecaster already! All I had to do is to tweak the amp.
For the main melody I used Ugly 18, it sounds very close to vintage Fender, for the double part I used Marshall JVM preset from Axe FX Ultra.

    Tuning:
    Open E : E - B - G# - E - B - E

    Key Signature:
I used a standard blues progression in E.

    Chorus:
    B - A - E

    Verse:
    E - A - E - B - A

    Gear:
    Tom Anderson Telecaster
    Ugly Amps - Ugly 18
    ZMG - Aspid Drive
    Waves plugins
    Apogee ensemble

I hope that you will enjoy this lesson and will have a lot of fun learning it.

The solo is based on E major pentatonic :
