Very beautiful! What is the key of the chord progression, or which scale is suited for improvising?
And a little citicism: It's a bit confusing for me to see chords labeled Bb or Eb when the notes show a# or d#!

Hey GMC!
Welcome to my new lesson that looks at the very popular style of Neo Soul. This style has become huge over the past few years thanks to social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. The style is a fun one to look into from a guitarist's point of view because so much of what is used has been around for decades but its been mixed together and produced with a more modern style with Hip-Hop inspired beats.
The chord vocabulary is heavily rooted in jazz using major 9, minor 9 and dominant 9 chords. A couple of other common techniques is the use of palm muted melodic runs and double stops often stacked in 4ths.
The tune I've written for this lesson starts with some common chord shapes and then develops these chords adding more Neo Soul inspired techniques.
I hope you enjoy playing over this as much as I did writing it.
