  • Hi GMC!

    Welcome to my new lesson!

This is a new song of mine called "Lost Frequencies" and will be featured on my new record called "Eatmystrings".
The radio you hear in the background is an actual radio broadcast from the 60s that is talking about alien ship crash in New Mexico!
I went to a sound library a while ago and a friend of mine found this record and suggested that I should use it in a song.

The song is based on shifting bass notes so the chord stays the same only the bass is changed. This tune requires a lot of alternative picking and a full control over your hands. By learning it you will develop alternate picking, study walking bass and get your hands synced!

Key: This song is in a key of D minor but has a few chords from different scales.

When you are practicing this lesson watch out for your timing. It is very easy to rush in this song, also make sure your picking sound is even - it is very important to keep your right hand consistent!

Hope you will enjoy my new lesson and that you will learn a lot about bass shifting and alternative picking!

    Chords used:

    Dmi

    Gmi

    Fmajor7

Ami - This chord I am considering as F major over A on the bass but it is the same voicings as A minor.
The reason is I wanted to keep shifting bass going throughout the whole song.

    C major7

B or E - Since there is no third this chord can be considered B11 or Emaj7 third inversion.

    Ami

    G9
