The focus this time is Janick Gers of Iron Maiden.

"Janick Robert Gers (born 27 January 1957 in Hartlepool, England) is an English musician, best known for being one of the three current guitarists in Iron Maiden, along with Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, as well as his earlier work with Gillan and White Spirit." - Wikipedia

Janick is one of 3 guitar players in Iron Maiden.
He joined the band in 1989 after Adrian Smith left and first featured on the 1990 album 'No Prayer For The Dying'.

Janick's playing style is very raw and energetic. He is influenced by Ritchie Blackmore, Jeff Beck and Rory Gallagher. He uses a lot of fast pentatonics along with minor scale runs and trills with the occasional added major 7th, which gives a harmonic minor feel.

    This lesson will work on:

    - Phrasing
    - Bending
    - Alternate picking
    - Trills (hammer ons)
    - shifting with power chords

Grab your guitar and go for it!
Although I advise against copying Janick and throwing your guitar around your neck... you might break something!
