Hot Strat

Hi rockers! This time I introduce you to one piece of a song from my new album, “Influences”. It´s a hot classic rock and roll with many classic licks in the style of Chuck Berry, Johnny Winter, Angus Young and Stevie Ray Vaughan as well modern rock licks of Ritchie Kotzen, Steve Morse and Eric Johnson.
The lesson uses the mix of pentatonic major and minor of E.

The Intro is more classical, then comes the solo that is more difficult. It starts with a fast lick in E minor pentatonic with blue note (5°b), then with chromatic notes passed to the second lick, this is an arpeggio of A7, the third fast part is other arpeggio but of E7 and with legatos pass to the arpeggio of A7 more open (from the first string 15 fret to the first string 21 fret), then comes the most higher arpeggio of E7 with a cool rock n roll phrase (add the 6° and the 7°). The other part is very melodic and expressive.

The fourth fast part is the most difficult. The interesting run of D (6° string 10° fret) to bend in B (1° string 19° fret) is an arpeggio of E7 with some chromatic notes, and then goes down in the higher strings with E7 too but in several different positions.

In this lesson you have to feel like Marty Mc Fly at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance but DON’T KICK YOUR AMPLIFIER!!! Jaja
