Hi Guys,
Welcome to my lesson No. 80 called "Fusion guitar licks over II-V-I"
The II-V-I chord progression is typical for jazz or fusion and to give you an example of this,
I made 6 fusion licks that covers a lot of different modes & scales.
Maybe some of you will enter a new (strange) territory here but I guarantee this will be a lot of fun as well! ;-)
NOTE:
I definitely suggest to go back to one of my earlier lesson where I explain the Harmonic Minor, Melodic Minor
& the WTHT scale (or diminished scale). Because these things we gonna use here in the current lesson!
The structure of the Jam track:
A Part/Lick 1 0:06-0:16
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
B Part/Lick 2 0:17-0:28
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
C Part/Lick 3 0:29-0:39
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
D Part/Lick 4 0:40-0:51
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
E Part/Lick 5 0:52-1:02
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
F Part/Lick 6 1:03-1:18
| F#m7b5 | B7#5 | Em9 | % |
Have fun! ;-)
Final words
I tried to transcribe as close as possible. Specially in the Guitar Pro file you'll find all this little extras!
Cheers - Guido
