The "Fingerstyle Country" lesson is inspired by the sounds of Merle Travis and Chet Atkins. The style combines rhythmic and melodic playing. The picking style is traditional a hybrid or either a thumb pick with four finger or a standard pick with three fingers. The tone is warm and full bodied so a hollow body guitar or at least playing in the neck pickup position will get you close. I have also added a slap back delay to give it a little more rockabilly feel. This style may not feel as natural as some so I recommend just playing the opening bar over and over from very slow then up to tempo. Once you eel comfortable with the first bar the rest should come more naturally.
