Welcome to the "Double Stop Melody III" lesson. The third part in this series covers a 60's style country piece with inverted double-stop licks that are great for both rhythm work and melodic leads. I'm using a warmer Tele tone than usual. I'm running through the neck pickup into a compressor, and overdriven Fender style amp with spring reverb and some tape delay synced in tempo. While I'm using a warmer tone this is still a chicken picking style lesson and the usual staccato elements and hybrid picking apply.
Key: E
Chords: E, A, B
Time Signature: 4/4
BPM: 144
Gear: Tele(neck pickup)>Wampler Ego Compressor>Tascam 4X4>Pro Tools>Amplitube 5(American Clean Amp 1)>Tape Delay
Scales: The double-stops move mostly diatonic with some chromaticism. There is no solo/scales utilized but a simple E Major pentatonic scale would work well for soloing over the backing track.
