  • HEY GMC!

In this months lesson I'm very excited to be able to bring you some acoustic delta blues.

Where better to learn than from the source itself! The Delta was the birthplace of the blues and what later was hugely influential in Rock music.

I've bundled together a bunch of classic blues licks and phrases along with some self accompaniment. The big challenge in this lesson will be to get your thumb separate from what your fingers are doing. Try getting comfortable with the thumb pulse before adding in the finger work.

I do stress the importance of practicing this with a metronome as we want to get a strong sense of timing when we play it solo as there is no backing track except your trusty foot so get tapping!

    Tempo : 95
    Time signature: 4/4
    Key : E Blues

    Chord progression:
