  • Greetings from Granada (Andalucia, Spain)!

Thanks for watching my new lesson. Here is an example on how to comp piano melody chords. First I created the piano groove and after that I tried to play with an acoustic guitar over that. The guitar plays some parts equal and some parts different. I used pick & fingers technique. This is not only a technique exercise but musical one, I think that a complete musician needs to make music, not only play fast!

    Music Style:
Jimmi Page, Larry Carlton. 70's Acoustic ballad.

    Tonality & Chords:
    D major

    Techniques:
Hybrid picking, arpeggios, muted strings, legato

    Sound:
    I used A Neumann U87 Mic. The guitar is a MARTIN D35.

    Tuning:
    NORMAL tunnig: E,A,D,G,B,E

    Tempo:
75 bpm. (Slow videos at 40bpm)
