Thank you so much for the 30 Beginner Blues Licks lesson! It's exactly what I needed - great sounding licks and how to use them with a lot of rhythmic variety and blues embellishments.

Just to double check, you have found the guitar pro file, right? This one will play the lead line while the tab progresses.

You should be able to see both tabs and video regardless of what unit you are using (see screenshot).

Youtube does not allow us to use the same layout as on the site - which is why we include the tabs on screen. As you explore all the content in the GMC lessons you will see we only provide a fraction of the content for free

Really disappointed; the youtube video had the backing track playing with the tabs on screen, much more convenient than what's here. I thought I'd subscribe and was expecting no less than what was offered on the channel, but to my dismay the website seems very primitive and switching between tabs and 'full-screening' the video is just too much.

Also, it’s really cool being able to hear how all the different guitars sound. Helps you understand what each guitar sounds like in the same context

Chris- this is probably the best blues Edson I’ve ever seen. It’s great how you show us how to follow the chords. The only thing I would like to see, is the scales you use. You tell us and run through them real quick, but it would be super helpful if we saw what scales you take the notes from. Instead of just memorizing them and not knowing what they are from. Thanks. Great job!!!

Can you print out a pdf of all of the licks? I thought by clicking on the tool icon and then the PDF icon that this would be possible, but it doesn’t seem so.

Hi Larry, the easier way it to count 4 groups of 3. You would say 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3.

Thanks Chris - this is a great lesson for us advancing beginners ; ) The 30 licks/riffs idea is brilliant for blues because you can really experiment and mix things up. Great selection of licks - please do more like this! Maybe Texas blues next? Cheers.

Great set. This was for me the first attempt at blues licks. They are explained perfect in detail for me as beginner, and combined with the Guitar Pro tabs, provide a nice combination of challenge and lots joy playing! Thanks!
