Original lesson: Quick Change Blues in A by John Hatcher

Hello everybody, thanks for your advice, as always you are right: I've been working on rhythm, my ‚soft picking’ and the palm muting. And John is also right, I love it to play this piece. I'm looking forward to his next Acoustic Blues Lesson. Volker

Hi there! I hear some improvements - Your playing seems to be cleaner now but still timming need to be fixed. I think That it's all about the problems with imagination of the middle, ghost 8th note in the shuffle groove. I think that practicing raw triplets over those background beats could help. Try to make some practice just playing triplets with only downstrokes and then just remove the middle 8th note from each triplet to get that traditional blues groove. Besides I don't hear or see any huge mistakes. Hands positions look ok, tuning is fine and notes are played pretty clear smile.gif

Hi mate! Nice video. I agree with Darius comments. You still have to improve your timing on this lesson as well as some of the higher strings licks that could sound more precise. My suggestion is to keep on practising this lesson over the original lesson trying to emulate the instructor's groove. I don't think that you are far from mastering this one, you just need more days of practice.

Keep on the hard work! wink.gif

Hey there mate! I think that the guys said it all and as Gabe pointed out, playing along with the original recording will help a lot!

Keep rocking and let's take this as high as possible smile.gif
