I have always had problems in any kind of social situation and always tend to stand out as an "odd" person as described. I never understood this, but I was browsing around yesterday and I landed on this thing called "Asperger's Syndrome." I read up on it, and oh too well did it describe me almost down to every last symptom. I took a 150 question quiz and it says "You are very likely an Aspie (have Asperger's Syndrome)."

So I was wondering, if any of you guys have it, or are interested in seeing about it or taking the quiz to see how you do. The questions are really easy to answer very quickly, at least for me, so I did it in like 3 minutes.

I am probably going to go see if I can get an offical diagnosis to see though pretty soon.

You should see an expert, if you try to make a diagnose on internet you'll end up thinking you have every illness that's got a name on it.

Yea, that is what I am going to do, I just took the quiz to get an idea.

I think it was a very good idea to self diagonse since most ppl with Aspergers will never find out they have a problem, they will just wander through life acting "odd" and wondering why that is (in the best case) or just think the rest of the world is what's odd.

My friend's ex has Aspergers and I've got a relative of mine that I'm positive has it.

But mind that there are a lot of different degrees to it, everything from a small portion of Aspergers up to the full shebang. The key is to find your "odd" sides and learn how to act and react in different situations.

Just a few reflections of mine

One of my best friends also has the Asperger's syndrome, but outside the fact that he looks a bit different then the normal scholar ( I look different too lol ) and that he sometimes is not at school for like 4 weeks. You don't really notice anything about it

It makes sense, because I often myself being wrong, even though at the time I'm absoultly sure I'm right, but that is just the most obvious thing I can spot wrong about myself.. there were questions in that quiz that just shocked me at how true they are about me.

I don't think I need to get treated for it bcause I guess if I really got it than it's very minor..

If you have it then it certainly is not a serious case, because people who suffer Aspergers in a major way are easy to identify, specially in school/high scchool some teacher would have certainly noticed something and warned your family.

I'm a high school teacher, and pupils with Aspergers are easy to spot, at least the ones who really act Aspergers "odd".

Check it out anyway, you never know, but I guess that you are either fine or suffer a really minor Aspergers.

And don't forget that everyone is a bit odd, most people that I know well are somewhat odd!!

By the way just answered the test and found it quite vague, depending of what you think you can answer different things in some questions. Turns out I'm fine though, but as I said, this tests are not really that good probably

I don't believe in any of this, just silly psyco babble. I give the profession a lot less credibility than a lot of people do. If some guy thinks he is Winston Churchill and that his cat is the second coming of Jesus Christ, sure, let them take care of those guys. But for the rest of us who are just a bit naturally screwy like people naturally all are, what they say goes in one ear and out the other as far as I am concerned.

Well acourding to the test I'm full Asperger and I have something else
I always thought I had something like that. But the weird things is that what I said now is something I would never tell to anyone irl. I'm a totally different person online, here I can tell people my opinion without that I have to look them in the face. But I probably shouldn't post it on the internet either, and just keep my mouth shut

I feel sort of the same as you do Mark, that its way easier to talk online. I only scored 48/200 in the test so i dont thing iv got aspergers though. Does anyone know, is aspergers the same as autism, cos i do know people who have autism so i just wondered, are they the same?

Asperger's is like fully functioning Autism, you don't have the severe mental problems associated with Autism, but lack on the social side, and see things unconventionally or different than most people.

And yea some of them did shock me on how real they are to me. Like the one about having pictures for EVERYTHING, even ideas. Like I have a picture for every day of the week as well as for every months that appears in my head everytime I say it, or someone says something about it. It is the same with every feeling/color/sensation/etc, always a picture.

And when we are watching a movie on the Holocaust or something in World History, I always tend to laugh at stuff that is not funny at all and people get all hyped up about it, and I always realize that that was not good, but can't help it, it is just how it is. Same with my speech, I have a really strong vocabulary and tend to write essays that teachers say I have a great writing style in, but when I am trying to express myself casually, for example, on here, or talk to someone, I can't do it good. And I have stuttering problems.

You just described me Check it up, but don't worry too much. Everything you said there fits with me, but I still don't have it, but yeah, always good to get it checked if you think you have it.
