Hi GMC!

I have now added the option to generate your own custom scales in the GMC Scale Generator - by entering a scale formula.

You can find it here:

You can either enter a scale like this 1, 2, b3, 4, b5 etc.

OR in half / whole steps like this:

H, W, HW

I find this very cool, ie for generating experimental arpeggios / chords all over the fretboard. It also makes it very easy to experiment and visualise patterns etc. Here's a favorite of mine for that exotic / Marty Friedman feel:

* The scale generator will now also 'remember' old scales, so when you click a scale diagram you can start editing the scale right away.
* You can share a scale you are working on at any time just by copying the URL.
* This means you can also easily save a scale you are working on (again by copying the URL).

Hopefully you find it useful and please let me know if you find any bugs!

Stay safe 👊

/Kris

P.S. Just to clarify, while it was previously possible to manually add notes to the scale generator, you can now also enter scale formulas directly.
