I'll take this opportunity to beat my personal 'dead horse' ...
A good Telecaster bridge pickup will rock just as hard as a normal Les Paul bridge pkup. You def need a noise gate but other than that, you can absolutely get huge rock tones from a Tele. They're also great down tuned due to the longer scale (25.5 vs 24.75)

Cool stuff! smile.gif I"m not a tele guy myself but I've seen wads of em being used in Metal. Though most are more the Jim Root style with humbuckers. This one is an actual tele getting down and dirty which is cool smile.gif
