Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi man!! This is awesome!!! Your take is more Malmsteen style than the original, because of your tone, and also the scalloped stratocaster!

You are really close to play a flawless version of this killer lesson! You have a very consistent technique and can play the faster parts with precision. You just need to dedicate some extra time to adjust the pedal note section around 00:15, and also that high bend in the second half which is not reaching the correct pitch. I've also noted that thiago plays some fast parts with palm muting and it gives an special feel to some sections.

For future lessons, I feel that you could also improve the overall mix. If I'm not wrong, you are using the mix of your camera to record this, what about using a daw to mix your guitar with the backing and then replacing it in your video? Let me know if you need help with it.

Congrats man!

Hi, more shreddy goodness, I see!

You're very comfortable with the technical elements of picking and sweeping. The sweeps sound particularly pleasing in this video. The scalloped neck helps with the bends and vibrato. The place where I feel your vibrato is not doing the best for you is at places like 0:44 and 0:48. It just feels a bit narrow and fast. Perhaps try widening it but slowing the pace. Some of the higher notes also need a bit more work on making them sound smoother, vibrato-wise.

Like your previous video, timing and vibrato need to catch up to your technical ability and then you'll be pretty unstoppable.

Very good take man! You're a skilled player that only needs to polish some details. I would recommend to refer to Gab's palm muting suggestion - we alwasy try to keep as close to original lesson as possible. Your left hand works very well - good index finger muting shape and quick, precise position shifts. Very good work on this one!
