Skennington-harmonic Minor For Beginners, Muris Varajic |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Here is an old take I did of Muris' Harmonic Minor for Beginners Lesson. Recorded this one for the MTP so forgive me for the title.. Few timing issues with the tapping section but I must say after watching this again, the mtp has helped my picking technique a ton!
Anyhoo, here's the original by Muris... https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-for-beginners/ And here is my attempt... Gear: Jackson DK2 Line 6 Toneport UX1 with Gearbox modeling This post has been edited by skennington: Mar 29 2009, 12:20 AM |

Rhythm placement - 3,8
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4 Posture - 4 Sound - 5 I liked this one. Some notes were not in time and you made a couple of mistakes. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Rhythm placement - 3,8
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4,5 Posture - 3,5 Sound - 5 The timing was quite good at the start, but lost it a bit in the 2nd half. I noticed your picking hand is very stiff, and you do alot of downstrokes. Try to get some more AP in there and loosen the hand up. I think you would benefit greatly from that. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Rhythm placement - 4
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4 Posture - 4 Sound - 4 very good! Couple of notes didn't came out, otherwise there would be some 5s in there for sure. I suggest that you spend some time practicing those minor mistakes. It requers a small amount or work, but it means a lot in the overall impression. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE
