Hey thanks for checking it out guys! Glad you like it. And yeah the screaming isn't everybody's style, that's cool. Glad you all like the music though.

Feel free to add us on myspace if you want.

Thanks again and take care!

Well I'm finally in a band! It's pretty kick butt stuff, very heavy. Check out our new myspace page with an mp3 of our first song. We're searching for a drummer right now, but pretty soon we'll hopefully start doing some shows and get signed!

If you like metal, melodic metal, progressive, or hardcore music, you'll dig this tune....hopefully.

Add us on myspace if you want!

Take care all,
Sean

Hey bro,

Well I use a Line 6 Guitarport. The amp model is Line 6 Insane, with the cabs being Brit-Celest T-75s. I always use the good ol' bridge pickup to get that tighter rhythm sound too, and a good balance of gain and low-end etc.

Glad you like the lesson! smile.gif

Oh and by the way, Becoming the Archetype rules!

Yeah definitely check out the album "Undeceived" if you can. It's far superior to all their other stuff in my opinion. "Burial" is probably the runner-up to that.

Welcome guys! And yes, the key to accuracy and speed is always the metronome. Way to go with starting out with good habits!

Anybody heard of Extol?

Their early stuff pumped out some of the coolest death metal I've ever heard. Although their recent stuff is boring as many crucial members left. But yeah, they're an awesome Christian death metal band. The album "Undeceived" is totally amazing.

Usually the only time people get tired of playing the guitar is when they reach a plateau in their playing. Keep at it bro! Whether it's taking guitar lessons locally, finding books, or using great websites like GMC, just keep learning, and when you start making progress again you'll regain inspiration.

haha Kris, "A Heavy Bumble Bee". You can get some funny imagery if you think of a metalhead bumble bee jammin out.

Gen, the guitar I use is the OLP version of the Petrucci model. It's an excellent value. I used to have the 7-string Petrucci model, not anymore though. Anyway, awesome guitar!

What's a metronome?

haha just kidding. Yeah I also think that's an excellent idea. Maybe to have a tiny built-in metronome in the lesson templates.

Man, you guys are too nice. Thanks a ton!

Radarlove, yeah good luck with the tendonitis bro. It has a great ability to creep its way back, so be very careful!

Pavel, I'm from Idaho in the United States, and I'm 23 years old. And have fun at the DT concert! Hopefully I can make their tour this year.

Thanks again guys,
Sean

Wow, what a cool welcome! Thanks so much everyone. It's great to be here. And I really give props to everyone at GMC, because this site truly makes learning guitar FUN!

A little about me. My name is Sean Conklin. I teach guitar and drums for a living. I also manage the IG site as Kris mentioned. I love God, my wife, my cat. I like Oreos A LOT. And my favorite band is Dream Theater. biggrin.gif That's me in a nutshell!

Like I said, it's awesome to be here, and I look forward to hanging out with you all!

Take care,
Sean

PS. Wheeler, glad you liked the Bach rendition! I don't know if I'd be able to fit all that in one lesson. Maybe I can break it up somehow. But that would be up to Kris and the gang, because "Toccata and Fugue" definitely isn't my original material haha. Although I wish it was!

In the meantime, you can check out: http://www.infiniteguitar.com/bachharmonies.html. That has a mini-lesson for the ending part.

Hey everyone.

First I want to say that this is a really cool site. Lots of inspiring and resourceful education.

My name is Sean Conklin. I've played guitar for about 9 years or so. I teach guitar and drums for living right now. Also, just starting to expand my horizons with web development infiniteguitar.com is my main project, and right now it's undergoing some huge upgrades behind the scenes, so it'll be rockin' in the near future.

I love all types of music! Everything. From classical, pop, to hardcore and death metal. I love it all.

Anyway, I look forward to hanging out with you guys!

Take care,
Sean

Unfortunately I can't help you with the tab right now. But I just wanted to say I love ABR! I'm going to see them live here in a couple days. Great band.
